Copy the motion of a reference video onto your character

Upload one character image and a video of someone moving. You get a video of your character making the same body, hand and facial movements. The background and look stay as in your image — useful for dances and gestures with a character you drew.

What you put in, what you get

You provide

  • One character or person image (PNG, JPEG or WebP; short side at least 300 px; aspect ratio between 1:2.5 and 2.5:1)
  • A motion reference video (3–15 s; one person, full body or upper body, works best)
  • Whether to keep the reference video's audio (optional)

You get

An MP4 of the character in your image making the movements from the reference. Same length as the reference: 3–15 seconds.

Good for

  • Have a character you drew perform a dance or scene you recorded yourself
  • Short gesture clips for a VTuber or mascot
  • Animate a character illustration into a pose

Models you can choose and their credits

Kling 3.0 Motion Control comes in Pro (1080p) and Standard (720p, fewer credits). P-Video Animate outputs 720p and uses the fewest credits.

Credits are estimates from the price list as of October 30, 2026. The exact amount is shown on the estimate screen before you generate.

FAQ

Is motion control the same as motion transfer?

Here we use them to mean the same thing: taking the movement from a reference video and applying it to a person or character in another image.

How long can the reference video be?

3 to 15 seconds. The result has the same length.

Can I use someone else's dance video as the reference?

Only videos you own or have permission to use. Mind the rights of the people in the video and of the choreography; a video you recorded yourself is the safest choice.

Does the background come from the reference video?

No. The background and look come from your image; only the movement comes from the reference.

How many credits does it use?

For 5 seconds: about 151 with P-Video Animate and about 845 with Kling 3.0 Pro Motion Control (as of October 30, 2026). The estimate shows the exact amount before you generate.
