Privacy Policy

[AI BunCho] establishes this Privacy Policy (the "Policy") as set out below regarding the handling of user information, including personal information about users, in the services we provide (the "Service").

In this Policy, "user information" means information relating to the identification of users, activity history on communication services, and other information generated or stored in connection with users or their devices, which we collect under this Policy. The user information we collect through the Service is as follows, depending on how it is collected.

(1) Information you provide. The information you provide in order to use the Service or through your use of the Service is as follows.
- Contact information such as email addresses
- Payment method information such as credit card, bank account, and electronic money information
- Information you enter or submit through input forms or other methods we specify
- Instructions and questions you send to the Service's AI features, the drafts and formats you enter or choose when creating works, and their results (estimate, run, failure, cancellation)
- In BunCho Play (AI TRPG): the action and dialogue text you enter, the choices you select, the story text displayed, and play records (intervals between turns, the point at which you stopped, entry point, language, device type, referrer, use of the free allowance, and sharing). If you are not signed in, these are recorded against an anonymous identifier for each device

(2) Information provided by other services when you allow the Service to connect with them
If you allow the Service to connect with another service, such as a social networking service, we collect the following information from that external service based on what you agreed to when granting permission.
- The ID you use on that external service
- Other information you have allowed to be disclosed to connected services under that external service's privacy settings
- If you use "Sign in with OTHERLIFE account" or connect OTHERLIFE in your account settings: from OTHERLIFE, your OTHERLIFE account ID, email address, display name, and the identifiers of LINE / Google sign-ins linked to OTHERLIFE (Section 6)

(3) Information we collect when you use the Service
We may collect information about your access to and use of the Service. This includes the following.
- Referrer
- IP address
- Server access log information
- Cookies, ADID, IDFA, and other identifiers

The specific purposes for which we use user information in providing the Service are as follows.
(1) To provide, maintain, protect, and improve the Service, including accepting registrations, verifying identity, authenticating users, recording user settings, and calculating fees for payment
(2) To measure user traffic
(3) To deliver and display advertising and measure its effectiveness
(4) To send information about the Service and respond to inquiries
(5) To respond to conduct that violates our terms, policies, etc. relating to the Service (the "Terms, etc.")
(6) To notify you of changes to the Terms, etc. relating to the Service
(7) To improve the quality of the Service's AI features (analyzing and evaluating how instructions are interpreted and why failures occur, analyzing the results of automatic checks on generated images, videos, and voices, and automatically revising generation rules. Part of this analysis is performed by passing data, with character names and work text masked, to AI that we use). We do not use this information to train or fine-tune AI
(8) To improve BunCho Play (analyzing how it is played, where players stop, and which actions were refused, and revising world settings and narration). Part of this analysis is performed by passing excerpts of records, excluding contact information such as email addresses, to AI that we use. We do not use this information to train or fine-tune external AI

You may request that we stop collecting or using all or part of your user information by configuring the designated settings in the Service, in which case we will promptly stop such use in accordance with our rules. However, because the collection or use of certain items of user information is a prerequisite of the Service, we will stop collecting or using such items only if you withdraw from the Service by the method we specify.
You may withdraw at any time and request deletion of your account and user information through Delete account and data (accessible from your account settings or from AI Studio settings). The procedure requires signing in and identity verification using a confirmation code sent to your registered email address or your password. If you cannot complete the procedure on screen, please contact us at the address at the end of this Policy. After confirming your identity, we will process your withdrawal by the same procedure. The information we delete, and the information we retain for legal and accounting purposes and the retention periods, are as described in Section 10.
You may request deletion of records of your instructions and drafts sent to AI by contacting our inquiry desk. After confirming your identity, we will delete them promptly.

In the Service, the following partners may store cookies on your device and use them to accumulate and use user information.

We will not provide personal information included in user information to third parties (including persons located outside Japan) without your prior consent. However, this does not apply where we provide it to third parties (including persons located outside Japan) for any of the following reasons.
(1) Where we entrust all or part of the handling of personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use
(2) Where personal information is provided in connection with the succession of business due to a merger or other reason
(3) Where personal information is provided to partners in accordance with Section 4
(4) Where it is necessary to cooperate with a national government agency, local government, or a person entrusted by them in carrying out affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining your consent would likely impede the performance of those affairs
(5) Other cases permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (the "Personal Information Protection Act") or other laws

AI BunCho and OTHERLIFE (otherlife.games) are both services operated by Industrial Dream Inc. So that the same person can use both with the same sign-in credentials (Google, LINE, email address), only account identification information is exchanged between the two services as follows.
(1) Items exchanged: account ID, email address, display name (username), and identifiers of linked LINE / Google sign-ins. Nothing else (works, drafts, generated text or images, contract, payment, or credit information, etc.) is exchanged.
(2) When the exchange occurs: only when you choose "Sign in with BunCho account" or "Sign in with OTHERLIFE account" on one of the services, or connect them in your account settings.
(3) Purposes of use: sign-in, identity verification, treating the same person's accounts as the same user (linking accounts that use the same LINE / Google sign-in or a verified email address), account management, and responding to inquiries.
(4) Contracts and payments: fees, contracts, and payments (including Stripe customer information) are managed separately by each service and are not shared.
(5) Disconnecting: you can disconnect at any time from "Connection with OTHERLIFE" in Account settings (the connection on the OTHERLIFE side can be removed from OTHERLIFE's account settings). Disconnecting does not delete either account.
(6) Party responsible for the management of personal information: Industrial Dream Inc.

We use YouTube API Services (YouTube Data API) to upload videos we produce to YouTube channels we own and operate.
(1) The information handled in this use is limited to information about our channels and the videos we upload (video ID, visibility status, upload date and time). We do not obtain, store, or display YouTube data of users or viewers.
(2) The authorization (credentials) to upload to our channels is stored only on our servers and is not used for any purpose other than uploading. The authorization can be revoked at any time from Google security settings (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions).
(3) Use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms), and Google's handling of information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/policies/privacy).
(4) To request deletion of information stored in connection with this use, please contact us at the address at the end of this Policy.

We use the TikTok for Developers API (Login Kit, Content Posting API) to upload videos we produce to the TikTok account we own and operate (@ai.buncho).
(1) The information handled in this use is limited to information about our account (display name, account identifier) and the videos we upload (post ID, visibility status, upload date and time). We do not obtain, store, or display TikTok data of users or viewers.
(2) The authorization (credentials) to post to our account is stored only on our servers and is not used for any purpose other than posting. The authorization can be revoked at any time from the TikTok app settings (Security and permissions → App permissions).
(3) Use of the TikTok API is subject to the TikTok Terms of Service (https://www.tiktok.com/legal/terms-of-service) and the TikTok Developer Terms, and TikTok's handling of information is governed by the TikTok Privacy Policy (https://www.tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy).
(4) To request deletion of information stored in connection with this use, please contact us at the address at the end of this Policy.

We will change this Policy as necessary. However, if we make a change to this Policy that requires users' consent under law, the changed Policy will apply only to users who have consented to the change by the method we specify. When we change this Policy, we will announce the effective date and content of the changed Policy by displaying it on our website or by other appropriate means, or notify users.

(1) Timing of withdrawal: in the withdrawal procedure, you can choose to have your data deleted after 7 days (you can cancel by signing in during that time) or deleted immediately. Even if you choose deletion after 7 days, cancellation of paid contracts, sign-out from all devices, and stopping of notification emails take place at the time of the procedure.
(2) Information deleted: your account (name, email address, password, sign-in connections with other services); works, drafts, settings, characters, and records of instructions to AI; files such as images, videos, audio, and manga (including those in cloud storage); published works (including comments and ratings on those works); BunCho Play records and worlds; sign-in information; and usage records linked to your user ID. Files are deleted in sequence after the procedure, and when all deletion is complete we notify your registered email address. After sending the notice, we also delete that email address.
(3) Information retained and periods: payment records (invoices, receipts, amounts, dates) are retained for 7 years as required by tax law (they are also retained by our payment processor Stripe under its own rules). Records of AI credit purchases and use, royalties, and support for authors are retained for 7 years with the user ID replaced by a marker that cannot identify an individual. To prevent abuse, an irreversible value (hash) derived from your email address is retained for 1 year. Unsubscribe records (email addresses) are retained so that we do not send notifications in the future. Comments and reviews you wrote on other users' works remain, with the poster's name replaced by "Withdrawn user".
(4) Paid contracts and credits: any contract active at the time of withdrawal is cancelled immediately and no further charges are made. No prorated refunds are given. Any remaining AI credits expire.
(5) Royalties and support: if you have unpaid royalties or monthly support from other users, deletion is put on hold until we confirm how to handle them, and we will contact you.
(6) OTHERLIFE: if you have the connection described in Section 6, withdrawing from the Service deletes the connection on the Service side, but does not delete your OTHERLIFE account. Deleting your OTHERLIFE account follows OTHERLIFE's procedure.
